바이낸스 호주 암호화폐 규제 의견수렴서 발표 기존 금융 규제 적용 쟁점

호주 정부가 암호화폐 규제 의견수렴서(Consultation Paper)를 발표했다고 더블록이 전했다. 해당 의견수렴서에 따르면 호주 당국은 암호화폐와 관련해 4가지 카테고리로 분류할 것을 제안했다. 1) 대출, 거래, 자산관리, 커스터디 등 암호화폐 자산 서비스 2) 암호화폐 중개업 3) 네트워크 토큰 4) 스마트컨트랙트다. 또한 의견수렴서는 ‘동일한 기능, 동일한 규제’ 방식을 채택했다. 이와 관련해 호주 당국은 기존 금융 규제로 암호화폐를 다룰 수 있는지 대해 의견을 수렴하기로 했다. 호주 재무부는 3월 3일까지 이해관계자들로부터 이와 관련해 피드백을 받을 예정이다. 아울러 올해 중반 암호화폐 서비스 제공업체 인허가 및 커스터디 규제 프레임워크에 대한 의견수렴서도 발표할 예정이다. 앞서 호주 재무장관은 암호화폐를 단속하고 암호화폐 기업의 리스크 상태 공시 보장을 위해 호주증권투자위원회(ASIC) 디지털 자산 팀을 확대할 것이라고 밝힌 바 있다.
