암호화폐 은행 커스토디아(Custodia)의 케이틀린 롱(Caitlin Long) 대표가 “미국 금융당국이 글로벌 결제 시스템에 참여하기 위해 마스터 계좌(Master Accounts)를 신청하는 암호화폐 기업을 방해하는 데 합세했다”고 주장했다고 외신이 보도했다.  보도에 의하면 얼마전 커스토디아는 미연준과 켄자스시티 연은에 마스터 계좌를 신청했지만 모두 거부 당했다. 이에 대해 롱 대표는 “독립된 금융 당국 2곳이 연이어 신청을 거부한 게 의문스럽다. 당국간 협력하는 것 같다.  만약 이들이 미래 암호화폐가 사라질 것으로 여기거나, 전통 금융에 위협이 된다고 여긴다면 암호화폐 업체를 상대로 한 두더지 게임이 수년간 지속될 것이다”고 전했다.
