바이낸스 미국 블록체인협회(Blockchain Association)의 최고정책책임자이자 블록체인 전문 변호사 제이크 체르빈스키(Jake Chervinsky)가 최근 게리 겐슬러 SEC 위원장의 발언과 관련 “게리 겐슬러 SEC 위원장의 의견이 법은 아니다”고 전했다고 외신이 보도했다.  보도에 의하면 얼마전 게리 겐슬러 SEC 위원장은 한 인터뷰에서 “비트코인을 제외한 거의 모든 암호화폐 거래는 SEC의 규제 관할에 속한다”고 주장한 바 있다. 이에 체르빈스키는 “SEC가 모든 토큰에 대한 관할권을 개별 소송을 통해 법정에서 입증할 때까지 어떤 토큰에 대해서도 규제 권한을 갖지 못한다”고 전했다.
